Personal Story Will Be the New Pixar Movie

This year, the officially event D23 Expo is going on in California in the United States. Exclusive merchandise and panels with directors, actors and more who reveal a lot of new stuff coming.

At the panel called Pixar and Walt Disney Animation Studios, a new untitled movie was revealed by Pixar. The chief creative officer John Lasseter invited Monsters University director Dan Scanlon to make an announcement.

One of the upcoming movies will be directed by Dan Scanlon and will be based on a personal story. Scanlon lost his father at a young age, so he never really knew him or heard his voice. One day a relative sent him and his brother an audio tape that they thought may have his father's voice on it. It turned out that the audio tape only had a short moment of his father saying one word. "I have always wondered who my father was and how I'm like him - that question became the blue print for this movie", Scanlon said.

Scanlon said that the movie will be set in a "suburban fantasy world" which will be a mix of fantastic and the every day life. The world is with no humans - only elves, trolls, and sprites. He also revealed that there will be unicorns everywhere.

Scanlon also revealed: "In the film, we're going to tell the story of two teenage elf brothers whose father died when they were too young to remember him. But thanks to the little magic still left in the world, the boys embark on a quest that will allow them a chance to spend one last magical day with their father".

The movie do not has a title yet and either no release date.
