This post is based on my opinion, thoughts, and feelings about the Latin American TV show Soy Luna. This post is based on the first 10 episodes of Soy Luna Season 2.
If you haven't watched the first 10 episodes of season 2, I will recommend you to wait with this post, because it's a retelling of the episodes and contains spoilers.
The second season of Soy Luna has just begun in Denmark. In fact, on 16th October 2017. I have before told about the first season.
Season 2 of Soy Luna contains new characters, new songs, more drama, and a lot of feelings including secrets.
I will retell the most important moments in the episodes along with my own opinion, thoughts, and feelings at the end of each. The episodes are split in chapters.
Episode 1
A new year has begun for the kids.
The episode starts with Luna dreaming of an event in Jam & Roller. Smoke begin flying around in the building, and she see Matteo disappear in the smoke. A case with a sun medallion appears in her bedroom. She assemble the sun with her moon necklace, and the door in her room opens.
All the kids meets at the school Blake South College while Roller Band is making a video with Santi Owen. Delfina tell Ámbar and Jazmín she has found a new boy on her vacation, and she has broke up with Pedro.
The kids find out there's a surprise in Jam & Roller later in the day. Luna and her friends are worried about Matteo. He didn't went back to Buenos Aires as expected, and Luna hasn't heard anything from him.
Over at the Benson Mansion, Rey tell Sharon that he suspects Luna for being Sol Benson. Amanda meets with her co-workers at the house, and she tell she has found a new boyfriend.
Over on Jam & Roller, the kids are waiting for the surprise. The surprise starts with Roller Band playing one of their songs. After the song, Santi Owen tells they has set up cameras to record every moment of Roller Band's life, both in Jam & Roller and in their apartment. The last surprise is told by Tamara. She'll be leaving Jam & Roller, because she wants to move to another country. She gives the responsibility of the roller skate rink to Luna, because she know Luna has the passion in herself.
At the end of the episode, Matteo calls Luna.
What have changed for the characters?
Pedro has bigger hair than season 1, and Jimena's hair is longer and different styled. Amanda has changed her hair from brown to blond.
My opinion, thoughts, and feelings:
The first episode of season 2 was amazing. The beginning of the episode starts with Luna dreaming like was happened in the first episode in season 1. Then, you follow Roller Band play one of their songs where the other kids is going to school. The song is great and is perfect for the scenes instead of speeches. I love how the season began. I was very excited for the surprise in Jam & Roller, but I was a little disappointed when Tamara revealed she would leave Jam & Roller. She was one of the main characters in the first season, and she was a great characters. In overall, I could watch the episode again and again.
Episode 1-5
Sharon and Rey is still looking after clues from Sol Benson.
Simón, Pedro, and Nico are in doubt whether the cameras are a good idea or not.
Matteo is back in Buenos Aries but he acts strange. He avoids Luna and she is still worried for him. When Luna find him in the park, he tells her that their relationsship is over.
Ramiro has been invited to be in the group Los Adrenaline by Fernanda, also consisting of Rocco and Pablo. Ramiro can only be part of it if Matteo will be a part of the group too.
Sharon's father Alfredo has hurt his hip. He comes to the Benson Mansion where he needs to train.
Luna and Alfredo meets in the kitchen, and they think they have met each other before.
The first Open Music shall begin in Jam & Roller. Among the performers are Roller Band, Jazmín, and Luna. The song by Roller Band is dedicated to Jimena, the girlfriend of Nico. This is also Jazmín's first performing in Open Music as solo.
Rey has took some hair from Luna which he has got tested, because he suspected Luna for being Sol Benson. He gets the test back and give it to Sharon. While Luna is singing her song in Open Music, Sharon reveals that Luna is Sol Benson.
My opinion, thoughts, and feelings:
The next episodes are also fantastic. It's awesome to see one of Sharon's family members (except for Luna), so including her father Alfredo in the second season was a good idea. He seems like a great character, and you can't even see Sharon and Alfredo are in family. I feel sorry for Luna when Matteo just avoid her. Matteo has a difficult choice but he make Luna sad.
The Open Music was epic. I loved to see Jazmín perform. It was a great song, I could hear it on repeat. The biggest moment in the episodes was in Episode 5 where Luna is performing, and Sharon finds out Luna is Sol Benson. It's was a great choice to do the reveal when Luna sing. I love how the scenes were filmed and made into the episode. If the moment took a little longer time, I would replay the scenes again and again all the day long. Episode 5 was probably my second favourite episode of Season 2.
Episode 6-10:
Open Music goes on with Gastón and Nina along with Ámbar.
After Sharon has discovered Luna's real identity she acts strange. She can't really believe that she has been near her niece all the time. Most of her behaving is caused by her afraid of losing her money.
Ámbar has a new plan to get away with Luna. As a part of her plan she wants to destroy one of Vidia's cameras in Jam & Roller, so Luna will be blamed for the destruction. With help from Delfina and Jazmín, Ámbar destroy the camera in the locker room with a roller skate imitation of Luna's roller skates.
Gastón and Matteo is talking in the locker room with no knowledge of the camera working again. Gastón asks Matteo how long he will acts like a strange guy and tell Luna the truth. Matteo tells about him and Luna's kiss before the vacation and how he felt. Everyone in Jam & Roller and all other viewers of Vidia hear about Matteo and Luna's kiss. Luna is surprised that Matteo still has feelings for her. And Simón is a little sad because Luna hasn't told him anything about the kiss.
The event in Jam & Roller called Roller Jam is held. Ámbar gets annoyed by Jazmín's word and because they wear the same clothes. Besides, Ámbar gets tired of Luna, so she roll over to the locker room with a cup of liquid and pour it down in the control box where it short circuits the system.
My opinion, thoughts, and feelings:
I know how Sharon may feel after the discovery of Sol Benson, but just thinking of her own stuff first is egoistic. She has finally found her niece and she doesn't even care. Luna is looking after her biological parents and Sharon won't allow it. And Ámbar's new plan to get Luna away is awful and evil. I love how Matteo reacts, when he finds out the camera is working again. It's a big moment in the episode, and Luna finally know he still love her!
The event Roller Jam looks amazing. Rolling on roller skates with costumes and music playing.
The episodes are great and I'm really looking forward to all the next episode in Season 2.
