Will Carrie Fisher Be Recreated for Episode IX or.. ?

There have been rumors floating around that Disney and Lucasfilm will recreate Carrie Fisher for Princess or General Leia Organa for Episode IX. But is the rumors real? Or will you be disappointed?

Carrie Fisher died at the end of 2016. She is in the next movie in the Star Wars Saga, Episode VIII. But now she is away, will she be recreated for Episode IX?

The answer is short "no".

The rumors comes probably after Peter Cushing's character Grand Moff Tarkin has been recreated for the last year's Star Wars movie, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. Because Peter Cushing is dead, Lucasfilm wouldn't have another actor to reprise he's role. Therefore, Grand Moff Tarkin was created with CGI animation.

After a statement from Lucasfilm on StarWars.com, they have confirmed that they will not bring back Princess or General Leia Organa: "We don’t normally respond to fan or press speculation, but there is a rumor circulating that we would like to address. We want to assure our fans that Lucasfilm has no plans to digitally recreate Carrie Fisher’s performance as Princess or General Leia Organa. Carrie Fisher was, is, and always will be a part of the Lucasfilm family. She was our princess, our general, and more importantly, our friend. We are still hurting from her loss. We cherish her memory and legacy as Princess Leia, and will always strive to honor everything she gave to Star Wars." - StarWars.com.

So now Lucasfilm has to change their thoughts about Epsiode IX before the December of 2017. We may have to wait to see what they have found out to do with Carrie's character.
