Disney Store in Copenhagen, Denmark, Has Been Closed

During the weekend of week 31 of 2021, the Disney Store in Denmark closed down. It's part of The Walt Disney Company's plan to close Disney Stores around the world, with several already being closed.

Unless you called the store or visited them during opening hours, nothing was stated that the store would close at the beginning of August 2021. It also came as a shock for many citizens in Denmark as, like for many others around the world, one would find it really sad for this to happen.

When you visited a Disney Store, you could feel the magic of Disney, with songs playing over the radio from the movies, and the environment feeling like a fairy tale.

Disney Store, which was placed at Amagertorv in Copenhagen, Denmark, opened for the very first time on 16th June 2011. It was a big celebration, and they also celebrated their 1st anniversary in 2012. From the opening of the store and until sometime in 2015/2016, the store sold exclusive merchandise of Mickey and his friends with the flag of Denmark, Dannebrog.

Merchandise like a snow globe, Mickey and Donald plush in viking outfits, badges, mugs and more were sold.

If you called the store in week 32, the call was re-directed to the shopDisney Customer Service. And if you visited shopDisney to find a store near you, the location in Denmark was removed from the map.

You would also get this information (see below) if you searched for the store on Google.
