New Details for Disney's Steaming Service and Star Wars and Marvel Series

New details have been revealed for Disney's upcoming streaming service plus 2 new live-action series.

Last week, Bob Iger, chairman and CEO of The Walt Disney Company, revealed that Disney's upcoming streaming service's name is Disney+.

And if you're a big fan of Marvel or Star Wars, it was revealed that 2 new series are in development. With the first Star Wars series being The Mandalorian, another one will be hitting the service too. The new series will centre around the rebellions before the events of Rogue One: A Star Wars Store, and will follow Rebel spy Cassian Andor. Diego Luna who played the role in Rogue One will be back for the series. "Going back to the Star Wars universe is very special for me. I have so many memories of the great work we did together and the relationships I made throughout the journey. We have a fantastic adventure ahead of us, and this new exciting format will give us the chance to explore this character more deeply." - OMD

There's currently no release date for the series, but Lucasfilm will begin production next year.

Marvel Studios will also be releasing a live-action series. This will be centred around the god of mischief, Loki. And it seems Tom Hiddleston will play the role again.

There are also projects in development with new stories in the world of Pixar's Monsters, Inc. and Disney Channel's High School Musical.

The Disney+ streaming service is planned to arrive in the United States around the fall of 2019.
