Zendaya is a very popular actress, and she is best known for her acting in the Disney Channel series "Shake It Up" and "K.C. Undercover" and the Disney Channel Original Movies "Frenemies" and "Zapped". She has even appeared in other Disney shows like "Walk the Prank", "Good Luck Charlie", and "A.N.T. Farm". In 2017, Zendaya starred in 20th Century Fox's "The Greatest Showman" which Disney bought along with 21st Century Fox, earlier in 2019.
In 2017, Zendaya played the role of Michelle Jones "MJ" in Sony's "Spider-Man: Homecoming". The movie is part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe which Marvel and Disney is making the most movies for. In the sequel which premiered in 2019, Zendaya reprises her role as the character, and what more interesting about the sequel is the merchandise based on her character.
Nothing in 2017 based on Michelle Jones was released as such, but merchandise for "Spider-Man: Far From Home" includes a few figures of her. And why is this relevant? Because the figures actually represent Zendaya as the character.
Not much merchandise has been produced where Zendaya is presented. Disney released a collection based on "Shake It Up" when the series aired on Disney Channel, including DVDs, books, clothes and more. Unfortunately, nothing was produced for "Frenemies", and only a DVD was produced for "Zapped". The only merchandise for K.C. Undercover is a board game produced by Fotorama called "Ultimate Mission Game" and a promo card of the main cast produced exclusively to D23 Expo in 2015.
But now the time has come to see Zendaya in merchandise. Let's take a look at what's produced.
This was the only item produced for "Spider-Man: Homecoming" which includes Zendaya. It is a sticker album from Panini showing some of the scenes from the movie. Some of the stickers show scenes with Michelle Jones. Only if you buy the stickers and stick them to some of your items you might notice it, but I wouldn't take it as merchandise based directly on Michelle Jones.
The first merchandise from "Spider-Man: Far From Home". If you do like figures made of vinyl you can also purchase Funko's versions of Zendaya. Three different versions are produced and one of them is a normal-sized figure where the other two come from a mystery box which includes other figures from the movie too.
A sticker album for Far From Home was also produced by Panini. Here is Zendaya also present in some of the stickers.
Also, Hasbro has produced a figure. The figure is part of a 2-pack set which also includes Spider-Man and comes from the Hasbro series "Marvel Legend Series". The pack contains two heads and two hands for Michelle Jones so you can change her. Also two hands for Spider-Man are included. This might look stupid when displaying the box as two heads of Michelle are included in the front, but anyway, it's still nice. The package itself includes a picture of Zendaya on either side from two different angles. The most notable about the package is that it seems to be something based on "Spider-Man: Homecoming" although the pack is released 2 years later. And instead of just writing "Michelle Jones", "Marvel" is included in her name. And it looks like it's an exclusive to the United States only, but maybe some stores around the world also have it.
The most interesting merchandise with Michelle Jones is the LEGO Marvel Super Heroes set "Hydro-Man Attack" (76129) which exclusively includes the character. Unfortunately, she is represented with black hair, but luckily, the hairpiece is available in dark brown too which represent Zendaya in a perfect way than the black one.
