News revealed on the next DCOM in the series.
"Zombies" is a Disney Channel Original Movie, also simply known as a DCOM, from 2018. The movie premiered in the United States on 16th February and is the 104th movie in the DCOM series.
Zombies was so popular that Disney revealed a sequel for the movie in February 2019 while the DCOM "Kim Possible" was released. Nothing was revealed then. Back in August when Disney Channel released the third installment in the Descendants franchise, Descendants 3, Disney also gave fans of Zombies the very first look of the sequel "Zombies 2". They uploaded a video with the sequel's logo style and said it will premiere in 2020.
Now a few months later, Disney has revealed the premiere date and the plot details for the 108th DCOM in the series. The news come from D23 which calls the movie a "love story" and tells it will premiere on 14th February 2020, almost 2 years after the first movie.
The plot details given: "In the follow-up, the pair is getting ready for Seabrook High's Prawn (it's like a prom, but supersized). After the unanticipated arrival of a new pack of mysterious teenage werewolves, who have come to Seabrook in search of an ancient life force buried somewhere within the town, the fearful city council reenacts the town's anti-monster laws. Suddenly, Addison and Zed's Prawn-night plans to become the first-ever zombie-cheerleader couple to attend the big event together are out the window. While Zed launches a campaign to run for school president and change the rules, Addison finds herself drawn into the werewolves' circle. Could this be where she finally fits in? Zed takes drastic action to keep from losing Addison to the werewolf pack, but his plan backfires. When the truth comes out, everyone - zombies, cheerleaders, and werewolves - discover the real meaning of community and acceptance." - D23.com
The cast from the original movie will all be back for the sequel to reprise their roles: Meg Donnelly as Addison, Milo Manheim as Zed, Trevor Tordjman as Bucky, Kylee Russell as Eliza, Carla Jeffery as Bree, James Godfrey as Bonzo, and Kingston Foster as Zoey. New cast members will include three werewolves: Chandler Kinney as Willa, Pearce Joza as Wyatt, and Baby Ariel aka Ariel Martin as Wynter.
The new cast members has earlier appeared on the Disney channels with Kinney from Girl Meets World and K.C. Undercover, Joza from Mech-X4, and Martin from Bizaardvark.

Zombies 2 will like its predecessor be a musical. It will contain nine songs with four of them being written by Rock Mafia, the team behind Descendants 3's Queen of Mean. The first song from the soundtrack, "We Got This" will be released on 3rd Janaury, co-written and produced by Mitch Allan. "The New Kid in Town" performed by Baby Ariel will be released on 31st Janaury. The movie's score is composed by George S. Clinton and Amit May Cohen. The Zombies 2 soundtrack is available on 14th February alongside the movie, but fans can pre-order it from 3rd January.
