A new special based on the Disney Channel Descendants franchise will soon premiere on Disney Channel.
Disney Channel will release a special program based on the Descendants franchise called "Under the Sea: A Descendants Story" and feature Dove Cameron's and China Anne McClain's characters Mal and Uma.

The program will premiere on the American Disney Channel on Friday 28th September at 7:50 p.m. EDT/PDT. Right are the premiere, the special is available on the DisneyNOW app and on Disney Channel VOD

The title of the special could be a reference to the song in The Little Mermaid "Under the Sea". Besides that, the title could also have been an inspiration behind the Star Wars' spin-off movies "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" and "Solo: A Star Wars Story". Nothing has been proved.
