A Live-Action Kim Possible is Coming to Disney Channel

A new Disney Channel Original Movie is coming. This time, Kim Possible will take the screen.

Disney Channel has announced that a Disney Channel Original Movie based on the TV series Kim Possible will hit the screens. This won't be an animated movie, but a live-action movie like Descendants, High School Musical, Teen Beach Movie or Zombies.

After over 15 years of the animated series that consisted of 87 episodes and 2 animated movies, Kim Possible and her friend Ron Stoppable will be back!

The casting for the movie has begun. The same creators of the original TV series - Mark McCorkle and Robert Schooley - along with Josh Cagan are working to write the movie script. It will be executive produced by McCorkle, Schooley, and Zanne Devine, and co-directed and co-produced by Adam B. Stein and Zach Lipovsky.

Here's what Disney Channel Worldwide executive vice president Adam Bonnett had to say about the team: "Mark and Bob created an enduring character and kids all over the world found a friend in her, an average girl who just happens to spend her off-school hours thwarting evil villains. Although Kim Possible 'can do anything,' kids and tweens found that this animated redhead was just like them. As we embark on the fun challenge of making Kim and Ron fully dimensional, I'm thrilled to be working again with Mark and Bob and to welcome the addition of a dynamic creative team - Josh, Zanne, Adam and Zach - into a world where anything is indeed possible." - Oh My Disney
