What We Know About Descendants 2

Can you remember what Mal said in Descendants at the end of the movie? Already when the movie was ended we all knew that there would be a sequel. At this time there was only rumours about it.

Last year, in 2015, the movie Descendants premiered on Disney Channel. The Disney Channel Original Movie premiered on 31th July in the U.S. few days after Teen Beach 2. The movie is number 98 in the series of Disney Channel movies.

On the day, 15th October 2015 Disney Channel announced, that Descendants 2 officially was in works. There was not much info at this time.

On 10th June 2016, Oh My Disney wrote what we already know of the Descendants 2:
- Kenny Ortega will return as the movies director, executive producer, and choreographer.
- The four villian kids will reprise their roles as Mal (Dove Cameron), Evie (Sofia Carson), Carlos (Cameron Boyce), and Jay (Booboo Stewart). But Mitchell Hope will also be back as Ben.
- China Anne McClain who played Chyna Parks on A.N.T. Farm will play the role as Uma, the daughter of Ursula from The Little Mermaid.

On 15th July Disney released a teaser for the upcoming sequel. It was released on YouTube but not all can see it, because they haven't released it in all countries. Instead, the teaser can be seen on Disney Channel between the episodes sometimes.

On the day 18th August, Thomas Doherty has been cast as Captain Hook's son Harry in Descendants 2 from Peter Pan.

On 19th August it was revealed, that Dylan Playfair has been cast as Gaston's son Gil from Beauty and the Beast.

The last character in the Descendants universe we know to be cast is Dizzy, the daughter of Drizella from Cinderella.
The actor is Anna Cathcart and is much younger than the other actors on the Descendants set.








On 8th September the production of Descendants 2 started.
We don't know the story of the new movie yet but maybe we'll find out in no time. ""But according to Disney Channel president and chief creative officer Gary Marsh, "Just when you thought 'Happily Ever After' had come to the land of Auradon, Descendants 2 turns the page to reveal a whole new level of mystery and suprise.""

The movie will be released in the 2017.
