Disney purchased The Muppets in 2004 and since then movies and TV series have been released. The Muppets was released in 2011, with Muppets Most Wanted released in 2014. Over the years The Muppets franchise has been falling with fewer releases and merchandise. The latest Muppet release is the Disney Junior TV series Muppet Babies from last year.
Now it seems that a new series will come out. The series will be titled "Muppets Live Another Day". The series should follow the events of the 1984 movie The Muppets Take Manhattan and it will take The Muppets upon a quest to solve the curious disappearance of Rowlf. If all goes well, the series will arrive sometime in 2020.
