Disney Channel aired a teaser trailer for Descendants 3 during the premiere of the Disney Channel Original Movie Kim Possible on Friday. The teaser gives fans their first look at what happened after Mal saved the day, and Uma swam away at the end of Descendants 2 from 2017. This time, the VK's adventure begins when Mal, Evie, Carlos, and Jay return to the Isle of the Lost to recruit a new crop of villainous offspring to join them at Auradon Prep. But after a barrier breach jeopardizes Auradon's safety, Mal elects to permanently close the gates, fearing Uma and Hades will seek retribution. Despite Mal's decision, a mysterious dark force threatens the people of Auradon - and it's up to the VK's to save them before it's too late.

New cast members include Cheyenne Jackson (Hades); Jamal Sims (Dr Facilier); Christian Convery (Squeaky); Luke Roessler (Squirmy); Jadah Marie (Celia); and Judith Maxie (Queen Leah).
