Disney Rebrands Their Fox Studios After Acquisition in 2019

In March 2019, Disney acquired 21st Century Fox, but as Disney did not acquire everything from Fox, the rest of the company, such as Fox Broadcasting, Fox Sports, and Fox News, is now part of Fox Corporation. To not confuse costumers with the Disney studios and Fox Corporation, Disney has in 2020 removed the "Fox" word from their newly purchased studios.

In January 2020, Disney renamed "20th Century Fox" to "20th Century Studios" and "Fox Searchlight" to "Searchlight Pictures".

The title card appearing in every Fox production will stay the same in effects as it has in over 50 years, but the word "Fox" will no longer be seen in future movies or seasons of series. Productions before the rebranding will take no effect and be keeping their original title cards.

The rebranding was first seen on Fox Searchlight/Searchlight Pictures' "Downhill" and "The Call of the Wild" which both were released in February.

In August 2020, Disney finally rebranded their last studio and ended the most recognised names in entertainment history. The TV studio, 20th Century Fox Television, has now been renamed "20th Television". But Disney has also renamed their other TV studios, changing ABC Studios and ABC Signature Studios to ABC Signature and Fox 21 Television Studios to Touchstone Television.
